Ok so i have a Canon GL2 and a some nice accessories including a WD-58 Wide angle lense, but my question really is what else is my wide angle lense good for besides getting more in the shot?

Wide angle lenses help reduce jitters caused by steadicams and handheld shots. The jitters are smaller, because more is in the field of view, and so they are much less obvious.

Also, wide angle lenses are great closeup to someone's face for comic effect, or down low looking up at people to make them seem large and powerful. Just play with it and let your imagination run wild!
