Writing a great pitch...

Does anyone have a link to a good example/how to guide, on how to write a successful pitch? Or does anyone have any good tips they could lend me?

I've got a film (or series of films) that focus more on characters pushing the story than plot... my problem here in writing the pitch is I'm unsure on how to compress a story that is contingent on character rather than action... any help will be appreciated, thanks!

there are tons of great books on this topic. the best part is you dont have to buy them. i work at a borders and people go there and read books all day long. check the reference section on writing. i think blake snyder has a few good ones. at least he talks about writing loglines which is basically a pitch. good luck man
