don't know if anyone mentioned it, but don't make it about teens.

i think it'd be more dramatic if you had older adults, maybe even senior citizens, go through a situation like that, since giving up their faith is a bigger deal.

also, you'd have a lot more life experience to draw from in the dialogue.

I the first girl ended up committing suicide and the second girl ended up picking up the necklace... no, I'm joking.

It sounds like a basic idea but it's very important that the dialogue is great and that there's a story inside their conversation that is attention worthy. I'd only say it's a short though. It might be an idea to show the run up to this (where one girl loses her faith in god and the other loses her will to live) as the scene inside the church looks like a climax, a third act, rather than an actual story.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, but I'd say that half the short films made are about two people talking. What else do people do for their first short?
