What % profit do investors get?

Say I find some people willing to fund a movie and it ends up getting picked up... what % would the investors get?

Say 3 investors each gave 10,000... if the movie sold for say 500,000... what % of the profit would they get? Would they get a % of the profit... say 10% or would get get their investment back + 10% of the actual investment...

Sorry if my wording is a bit off.

What kind of movie are you producing for $30,000?

Usually investors get 150% back on their initial investment.

If they invested $1,000, they would get back $1,500.

Bandar,

That was just a random number to be used as an example.

Ok, so it's a return on their initial investment, gotcha.

It really depends,

Some investors just want their money back, others don't even want that.

It all depends who is investing in your project and for what cause.

But let's say the investors I get are the ones who expect some profit on their investment, should the movie be sold.

Is 150% the norm?
