Hello everyone,

I am currently making a 3-4 minute special effects/make up film and just wanted to ask some questions and seek some guidance.

The story of my film revolves around the character's left foot in which his toes are dismembered one by one. Thus, the film requires the use of prosthetic feet and legs, blood, and a corpse.

I'm trying to make this as realistic as possible without spending more than $1,500 on make up and effects.

This is my first time attempting a movie of this scope, so I'm both excited and nervous as I plan my film. My understanding so far is that I will need to get a plaster mold of the actor's foot and build a latex foot.

Does anyone know of any great special effects and make up artists in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale areas?

Would anyone know of any great special effects online stores from which to order effects and make up supplies (latex, plaster, blood, gel, etc.)?
