VHS no longer an acceptable submission format

I've updated the Submission Form and Submission FAQ.

VHS is no longer an acceptable submission format due to its poor quality and it's frequent problems with video dropouts.

MiniDV, DVD-ROM, CD-ROM, and set-top DVDs (DVDs that will play in a run of the mill DVD player) are now the only acceptable format for submitting films to the site.

The first three are preferred due to the slight compression the occurs when submitting a set-top DVD - albeit the compression is minimal.

Of course when submitting via DVD-ROM or CD-ROM you must use a QuickTime or AVI using the DV/DVCPRO codec at 720x480 29.97 fps. If submitting via PAL use the PAL equivalents. No other codec is accepted.

If you have any questions please let me know.

It's time for VHS to die anyways. Wink

Best Regards,

Yes. I weed away.

BetaSP, 3/4, and Hi8 also got quietly removed as well...but I haven't received one of those for a LONG time.
