There seems to be a decent amount of people backing 'time'.

I agree with the suggestion of using a certain prop with a theme (time seems a bit too general though).

The time constraint and common theme works fine in my opinion. We need to agree on a theme, however.

Some more suggestions:
Triumph
Friendship
Obsession
Food (I know, random, but somehow I think this could be interesting)

Something about the openness of "time" intrigues me.

how about using the good ol' flip open the dictionary and put your finger on a word deal?...if the word sucked real bad (or wasn't apporpriate) you could redo. it would probably be best done with a high school dictionary so the words aren't as complex and everything

I just tried the random function on Wikipedia, and it suggested we all make movies about a Boston rock band called Harry and the Potters. Okaaay.

I tried the wikipedia thing too, though I'll admit I skipped the first article about the theologan it gave me.
Who's up for "Appleby, Texas," a town of 444?
I actually think its got some potential, though I still like "time" and and "lost and found"

444 is basically the worst number in the world for the Chinese. Their word for four sounds the same as their word for death.

I could roll with either "time" or "lost and found." Both are solid.

I'm down for whatever, I'm pretty flexable. Although I think it would be cool if it was something bizzare but still somewhat general, so that people would really have to think about what to do but you'd still get all different types of movies. And with something like "Time" most likely there's going to be a crap load of sci-fi movies being submitted. Not that there's anything wrong with sci-fi movies about time, but it would be boring to watch the same sort of things.

Time, Lost & Found are also cool with me.

But telling you guys some sort of common prop like a road is always good, Tree, you know you want a tree as a theme :P

I feel like this sort of died. Did we reach a consensus?

How did it die?

I'm taking all of your considerations into consideration.

We'll have a vote to pick a final from the ones that I like the most when the contest gets closer.

I think we covered all the bases! Hmmm...

Ninja themed?

We could get specific.

You must have Ninjas, Pirates, Dinosaurs, Robots, and Zombies in your film.

Seriously now:
That actually reminded me of a really fun theme i had for a festival. The theme was you were given a list of items. I remember them being like A chain linked fence, some random phrase, a coffee cup, and a plant. Some were more noticable than others. I just picked 4 random things. This allowed the filmmakers to pretty much make whatever they wanted while still being creative with these items. For example the phrase was used in one film as a cameo type headline in a newspaper. In another one the characters said the phrase. It also made it fun for the audience because they could pick out these objects while they were watching.

Does this idea make any sense? Should I clarify?
