I thought I'd start this post to see if there are any other undergraduates on here looking to transfer into UCLA's BA Program or other film schools for 2010.

I've seen quite a few other posts which discuss specific questions involving the personal statement and the schools themselves. But, I thought it'd be nice to have a place to plainly discuss the application process as it's happening.

I've read previous entries in which students write to each other during the application process, and this seems like a great method of support.


Anyone else?

I'm transferring to UCLA and CalArts
and SFAI for the safety school (is still searching for another 2 schools). I'm now still in high school and next year I'm going to el camino college (do you know anything about this college??)

Where are you transferring to btw? I bet it's UCLA

I'm looking to transfer to UCLA :-). I'm out-of-state so it's nerve racking knowing how many people there are to be up against. I don't know about El Camino College, are you in California now? I haven't looked much into other schools because UCLA seems to be the only one that has everything I'm looking for after doing research. Do you know what area you're looking at focusing in?

Just passing by. I, too, am in the same boat in the threshold of severe application overload syndrome at this time of the year. UCLA is my dream school; the environment is something I hope will stimulate/inspire me, not just the film school - what was it that did it for you?

I've applied as a transfer to LMU Fall 2010. Spring was ideal for me, but due to military commitments I'll have to wait until Fall semester. Hopefully I'll get in. I've actually applied to Columbia College Hollywood for fall 2010 and I've got at least 2 or 3 more schools that I will apply to. Nice to meet ya'll as well.
