anyone else freaking the **** out from waiting till december 15th? 21 days its all i think about.. pretty sad yes..

omg i am going through the exact same thing!! every time i think about it i get all queasy and squirmy inside.. the suspense is killing me!

same thing is happening to me! 20 more days to know!!
does anybody know if there is any way to know anything before that day??

I don't think theres any way to know early.. I would imagine that the early decision deadline is the earliest you would find out, even though I wish there was an earlier time. I hate waiting because I wasn't allowed to apply to USC or any place out west because I live in NJ and my parents didn't want me to go very far, so my only shot at a top school is NYU. If I don't get in I'll probably end up at Ithaca or Rowan or maybe Drexel. What are your backups?

There is a way to know earlier, but I can't tell you what it is.

I'm trying to think about it though... they give you access to home.nyu.edu once you're accepted, but I can't figure out how you'd find your login info without getting it in the mail.

i guess im considering purchase and ithaca my safes.. if not then im screwed and ill be at community college.. if not nyu emerson or chapman would be nice... anyone else?

samplin, have you already aplied to those schools? i have not yet applied to any other school besides nyu and i think i will only do that if i don't get admmited... what do u guys think? should i apply to other backup schools before i get any answer from nyu or it is okay to wait for it? is there any problem with the deadlines with school such as chapman, usc or emmerson?

well i suppose it depends..what are the application deadlines for the other schools you want to apply to? if waiting leaves you enough time to complete them if you aren't accepted at tisch then i don't see anything wrong with waiting but you've got deadlines like jan. 1st then i probably wouldn't wait. i think its up to you really =)

also, good luck!! i hope i end up seeing you there.. only 2 weeks to go - let's keep our fingers crossed!

the only ones i havent submitted yet are purchase and ithaca because they are not due until feb 1st.. however i applied early action to emerson and chapman and those were due nov 1st and nov 30th.. and usc is due dec 10th (even though they really want it a month before that) and fsu is due dec 15th so yes if ur applying there u have to be done with them before u find out about nyu.. it sucks but yaa.. and calarts the preffered deadline was dec 1st so i did that one too..

i guess.. idk film programs are just so tricky and hard to get into.. so i figured i had to apply to a lot u know

However, if you dont get into the film program but get GSP'ed, they let you know around the 5th? I think so. They let you know earlier so that you can decide if you still want to go to NYU for GSP for two years. I'm hoping I at least get that, haha.
