I applied Tisch '09 and I was planning on applying other places, but right now...I'm like...NOT.

I was planning on doing chapman and Emerson but the deadlines for early action have past. I might do Emerson reg.(Columbia, USC or UCLA???!)

Any other people who applied ED to tisch ?

I applied for Film Production. I'm thinking we're supposed to be notified between Dec.15 and Mid January the latest, but from the people I've talked to they say we should be notified before Christmas, and starting Dec. 15th.

hey have any of you received confirmation that they've got all the credentials/recommendations they need, or just the confirmation that you've applied?
I'm getting a little worried that they didn't receive my recommendations and portfolio or something

I got a confirmation for when I sent in my online stuff, to tell me they received it. As for the physical mail stuff, I haven't gotten a confirmation. I don't think there is a confirmation but from what I've heard, if you don't hear for them it is a good thing. It should mean there are no problems with your app.

clarkburgular...The only resume they need for film is a creative resume. I think I might have squeezed in my academic/work info on there.

Well I was wrong. I just got a letter in the mail today, confirming they got my stuff and also giving me the University ID # and another #. Its much like the e-mail I got.

QUESTION: Do they notify you by email or snail mail?

I'm not too sure but if I'm not wrong they use snail mail for US students and email/phone for international students?

Yep I got that letter too...through snail mail.

I know NYU starts sending out early decision notifications December 8, and we'll hear by the 15th. I believe NYU also does not defer, per this passage on their undergrad admissions page:

We believe that part of our commitment to Early Decision applicants is an "early" decision, and we either admit or deny Early Decision candidates.

My friend got in today, film production i think, so we should really be hearing soon!

did your friend find out through the mail or how did he/she find out so early ? also curious...does your friend live in the east coast ? i'm in the midwest so it might take a while.

He heard in the mail i think and he lives in Boston
