Does anyone have an opinion? My son is interested in an editing curriculum.

I'm about to be a senior in the Directing concentration. I can't speak too much about editing but the foundations classes (4 total over the course of 2 semesters) are lacking overall. There are always a few great teachers, but outside of them the foundations aren't as in depth as you would expect for a film program. Just know that he'll spend more time writing papers than learning how to edit in the foundations classes.

I'm not sure about the editing classes but I know a few editors that seem to be doing well. From what I've seen, after the foundation classes it's just a matter of putting yourself out there and making connections.
