Does which Undergrad school matter if you plan on going for a masters? I am just wondering if its worth me spending an extra 20k on a school when the real degree I want is yet to come.

I went to an open enrollment state school (i.e. pulse and checkbook are the admissions requirements), and didn't even make cum laude (3.27)...and I got in where I applied. Lest you think I'm an exception, another classmate got into AFI, another into Chapman.

Your undergrad pedigree is insignificant. It's your creative materials that matter.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: Undergrad is what you make of it. I was accepted to a very prestigious undergrad program, another well known school, and a little state school.

I went to the little state school. I couldn't afford the other two, and my dad was sick, so I didn't want to be so far from home.

Some of my teachers taught at both schools... I got them at the bargain price.

So long as you seek out opportunities and be sure you hit the requirements necessary for grad school-- it shouldn't be an issue.
