Applying to Transfer

Hey everyone,

I'm currently attending the University of Arizona, majoring in film, and I'm not particularly happy with the education, specifically its lack of a screenwriting track (as beautiful as the school is, unfortunately).
I'll be applying to transfer for the Fall 2010 semester this winter break, and I guess I was curious about the various screenwriting programs. I'll be putting in an application to NYU, Northwestern University, DePaul University and Chapman University. I'd love to go to UCLA or USC, but I guess you need to be a junior to apply to transfer into their film program. I applied to Emerson last year, but wasn't happy with the school.
I'm looking for a rigorous program...education is far more important to me than reputation. I'm from Chicago, so I think I'd prefer a school in a city. A screenwriting-specific program would be choice, but I've been thinking that maybe a more rounded experience would be better...I don't know people, I'm lost!

Thank you in advance,

Brendan

Also, I feel like meeting new people as a transfer will prove to be even more difficult...I'm looking for a lot of suggestions everyone!
