LAC in fall or UT transfer?

Hi,
I know this is a question of my own judgment and really there is no "right way" to pursue film HOWEVER, I would like some advice :-D, if you have any.

This summer I will be moving to Texas, Austin area. I could choose to go to UT after maybe, a year of community college classes. I could do it and I would work my ass off trying to get a good portfolio and gpa and all that. However, I could also go to a LAC instead and in the fall, but there would be NO FILM OFFERED. I'm really not sure what option makes more sense, but just an FYI, I would be getting in state tuition for UT. My fear is that I wont really get a chance to explore multiple subjects at UT in the same fashion as a personable, small, liberal arts school. I love film, but I like other things too! UT may be great for both... then again I may be going to a school that's too big and too much for what I want. My ideal school would let me study whatever the hell I wanted for 2 years, and film the final two. Haha
