Hey guys-
I'm sure you're starting to get sick of all these "will i get in?" posts, but I'm getitng a little stressed and wanted some opinions.

I'm applying to NYU, Emerson, USC, Chapman, Northwestern, and a bunch of UC(California)'s.

GPA: about 3.6 at a tough private school.
SAT: 720 Reading, 670 Math, 790 Writing
Extracurriculars:
-co-Founder of the Filmmaking Club (9th grade only)
-Fencing team (grades 9-11)
-co-director of the Film Festival (senior year)
-Acting in the school play this year and short student written plays the previous two years
-I've won a few awards for my films and a play I co-wrote.

I'm still deciding on my creative submission, though, which is obviously a big part of the process at a bunch of these schools. Which would you guys suggest?

Also: does anyone know how many film students (approx.) Emerson or Chapman take per year? They're both fairly small schools to begin with.

I don't know an exact number, but the film program at Emerson is quite competitive because they get the most applicants out of all the majors. But my stats weren't as good as yours and they accepted me, so as long as you have a good portfolio I'd say you have a good chance.

I didn't apply to any of the others you mentioned, so I can't speak for those.

Oh, that comment about Emerson makes me nervous. I find out soon, this week probably. Your SAT is a tad better than mine, but I have more ECs and stuff. So, basically we are probably on the same boat.

I'll tell yall if I get in... I'm nervous.
