Transfer USCB to Chapman

Hi all-

I am a freshman at UCSB, interested in transferring to Chapman for the film production major. On the Dodge College website, it says that GPA and scores are weighted more heavily than experience in the major. Can anyone confirm this? I have relatively little (although some) experience with film production but I do have strong high school GPA and test scores (got into Berkeley).

Also, how does the Creative Producing major compare to the Film Production major at Chapman? I know the Film Production major is highly regarded, does the same hold true for Creative Producing?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Cheers!

what emphasis of film production are you interested in. Producing? I personally have never heard of transfers to Chapman since it's in a conservatory model.

When I applied and got into Chapman, my GPA was average. I did not need to take the GRE so my application was probably weighed based on my portfolio list (10 films), experience, and writing samples.

From what I have heard, transfers to the film production major are common. I didn't know there was an emphasis you had to choose when applying for the film production program. Also, from talking to the admissions office, an applicant's portfolio is not looked at during the admissions process. The only actual video looked at is the 2 minute application video.
