I assume you mean film schools? Emerson College in Boston is a tad under $40k, and offers excellent scholarship options, which are fairly easy to earn. I was offered a 50% scholarship, and I think that's fairly typical as long as you apply for the program.

Public Schools like FSU would be under 40. I'm not sure what UCLA's out-of-state rate is, but I dont think it's much higher than 40 if at all.

Actors? What actors?

Yeah, if you go to a state school, you'll probably pay way under 40000. I go to William Paterson University in NJ, and being that I'm from NJ, it costs me a lot less than it would if I were to go to 5 Towns or The New School, which were double and (I think) triple that if I remember correctly.

Are you talking about total yearly cost including housing, or just for tuition? If it's just tuition, your question doesn't narrow the field at all... I can only think of a handful of schools that might be barely over $40k for tuition.

True. I (and I think everyone else) assumed you meant total cost of attendance, rather than just tuition. Even NYU is under $40k tuition.
