Welcome to Studentfilms.com, the online film discussion forum for filmmakers and students who are applying to film school, attending film school, need advice on making films, or just want to share their films with the world.
Have you been to the school, or heard about it? The tuition is very affordable even for out of state. but the catch- students are also enrolled at Regis University, a Jesuit Catholic school... I'm not religious So I guess I'm wondering if the film program is good enough to outweigh the catholic university?
ALSO I'm looking for an affordable school or university outside of Kansas, so suggestions are welcome
Although Regis University is a Jesuit institution, like Boston College, Creighton, Fordham, and Georgetown Universities, it is not a proselytizing environment. The Jesuits have historically tended to focus on social justice issues and on higher learning. The Dean of the College for Professional Studies, the CFS partner, is an agnostic himself. We have not found the partnership to be focused on religion, though there is an increase in the philosophy course requirements in general education. We have found the increase in philosophy requirements leads to greater analytic and reasoning skills. You will find no religious artifacts at CFS.
