I took a tour of the school, and the information was very vague... they really didn't go over much about the equipment.

I'm either interested in the post production program, or acting for the screen. But, I would still love to get my hands on a nice camera and shoot.... Can I do that?

Do they use/have any film cameras? this was kinda unclear to me...

He also talked a lot about out of pocket expenses... like renting gear form a third party... Also paying ($500 maybe) to rent out the school's own studio (which seems almost unethical considering people already pay to go there)

I asked about checking out the RED cam, and I almost thought I said a dirty word... Seems like they are very protective with that camera.

With the EQ system, and the high dollar equipment... is it hard to get your hands on the good stuff? Like... the AF100-- how long before you can put that one in your car?

Whats their mic collection look like? is it like a bunch of cheap shotgun mics... or do they have some neumanns, Schoeps, MKH series...etc Nice stuff you know!

So I know that film school is MORE then gear, but I'm a gear head so its important to me... So please let me know what you think... Thanks!
