Hey everyone. Right now, I am a student at a community college on long island. I am seriously into filmmaking and I'm trying to find my best film school fit. First, I'm wondering:

How hard is it to transfer into a film school from a community college?

Also, I have about a 3.4 high school GPA, I did not do well on my SAT's. I got a 1000. My ACT = 21. I'm afraid that these stats will not be good enough for a film school that I'm looking for.

I am also looking for a film school that isn't expensive, so you can count out USC,NYU,UCLA,AFI,northwestern, columbia, etc...

I was looking at FSU, but it looks like that school would not accept me, plus its very competetive as well as the schools i mentioned above.

Does anyone have any suggestions for schools?

I would also like to add that I'll be starting my 2nd year at community college at the end of the month, and will graduate with an associates in May.

When should I apply?
