Have you guys thought about using something like PHPBB? Its a more universal board program with a better interface and more versitility. Check out www.phpbb.com . Just a thought...

Yeah, we know about phpbb. But at this point, it's really more work than it's worth to re-integrate it into the system and all that. A lot of the code would need to be re-written in order to streamline it like this with the site. We appreciate your concern, but I don't think so.

Yah I know what you mean - once something is up and running its tough to go another route. Dont they have an auto convertor to go from UBB to PHPBB? Its obiously not a big deal, but something to think about. I ran a PHPBB board for 5 years and the other boards I use are VB or PHPBB so im just real used to it. Probably most everyone else doesnt know the difference Smile

Infopop has been around for a while. I'm actually a pretty big fan of their forum software. I'll look into it though.

PHPBB automatically bugs me, only because there are so many uncustomized installations of it floating around. and its SO easy to set up that tons of people make pointless boards with it. lol. its unfair of me, but there you have it.

btw, are we ever considering changing the white on black? Big Grin

I agree, don't even joke about going black on white. That's stupid. It would kill anyone with a high resolution.

And just look terrible, ta' boot.

Seriously. DON'T do that.

it doesn't need to be PURE black and white, but most sites are somewhere along the lines of dark on light, and, seriously, it is better once you're used to it.
