Chroma Key Question

I am new to the site and I am new at the Chroma Key deal. I purchased a green screen and tried to make a video in Pinnacle 12 and it came out extremely grainy. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

Use adobe after effects for the keying. Also be sure what resolution you set your project at.

Thank you, I'll give it a shot. Is Pinnacle incapable of handling this kind of video editing?

No, just the shots that need to be Chroma Keyed. So, export each shot to a separate video file and key those in After Effects, then export those back to their own video files and import them back into Pinnacle, placing them in their specific places.

If you want to try it in Pinnacle, which should in theory work, there's some good tutorials on youtube. Here's one that seems to be pretty good, but also, there are probably better ones out there, just do a search.

Happy trails.
