Welcome to Studentfilms.com, the online film discussion forum for filmmakers and students who are applying to film school, attending film school, need advice on making films, or just want to share their films with the world.
My name's Kenneth Bauer. I am in my third year at the University of Toledo, studying Film. As a side project, I've been working on a noir script as a sequel to my first, "Shadow of the Crow." This sequel is a lot more serious and of higher production value. The shooting begins on December 18th, hopefully finishing two weeks into January. I want some music similar to my first short (see link below) but maybe a little more intense. I am a student, so as we all know, money is tight. It would be great to add this to your portfolio of work for future reference though, and if it all plays out, I should be entering this into some major festivals.
I have watched Shadow of the Crow and I really like it! My name is Tom Sayer and I'm currently studying my Masters in Composition for film. I generally compose for strings and piano, although I have previously written for various ensembles up to full symphony orchestra. If you would like to have look at some of my work, my youtube channel is youtube.com/tomsayerp1anoplayer. A piece that may be of interest is Cauldron Quilts Exhibit.
Let me know if you would like to work with me. All the best,
Tom Sayer muua3e@bangor.ac.uk

I thoroughly enjoyed "Shadow of the Crow!" I was especially drawn in with the jazz flavor of your score (don't hear that much anymore!). I would like to hear from you regarding details as to what you are specifically looking for.
I am interested in working with you on this project!
