We are The Finer Points Of Sadism (F.P.S.), established 2009. F.P.S. is an Experimental duo, but can also be described as Avant Garde, Electronic Experimental, Indie, Alternative, etc. It is a project comprised of husband/wife duo Jacobb T. Sackett (Vox, Guitars, Synthesizers, Rhythms, Sound FX) and Ashley Sackett(Bass,Synthesizers, Steel Guitar, Sound FX). Both have been playing together in various bands for almost 10 years. This genre of music has always been their favorite and they enjoy being able to create and share it now. Currently residing in Boise, Idaho, USA, F.P.S. is accepting any offers for our music and compositions to be used in film, absolutely free, with the one request of our addition to the credits for any of our compositions:

Our music was inspired from a near death experience, with the sound inspired by many early industrial, experimental rock groups such as Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire, and Psychic TV, combining a "new wave" rhythm/drum sound reminiscent of bands of the new wave genre, such as Wall Of Voodoo, Devo, The Cramps, and Adam & The Ants.

F.P.S. is consistently pushing the machinery limits of several rhythm machines, sound machines (Buddha Sound Machine, The Gristleizer, etc)and drum machines. Circuit bent equipment such as altered toys, a talking V-Tech toy operated with cards (built in Sheffield, UK), a circuit bent, vintage game cartridge driven Atari 2600 also provides numerous beats and distorted synth melodies. Various modulation equipment and FX such as Space Echo also are a big part of FPS's sound.

As a side note, we enjoy making compositions for horror, sci fi, drama, exploitation, indie flicks best. We feel those types of film reflect our sound most appropriately.
