Michale Graves (any of his post Misfits stuff, it's better than his Misfits stuff) Iron Maiden Van Halen (pre Sammy Hagar) Johnny Cash The Smashing Pumpkins
I listen to a ton of other stuff. This was a hard list to formulate for me.

JW, It's got nothing to do with the vocalist at all actually.... Pre-Hagar Van Halen is when Eddie seemed to be at his most inventive. I hate the style he took instrumentally after DLR left the band.
I own every Van Halen album, including the illfated VHIII, and I won't deny that Hagar is a great vocalist. I just hate the direction Eddie seemed to go.
I hate picking only 5 bands, and I'd love to throw the Foo Fighters, The Cure, and STP into my collection of Graves, Maiden, Van Halen, Cash, and the Pumpkins.

Fair enough. I'm just glad you didn't say that Gary Cherone was the best.

No. Definitely not. He wasn't a bad singer when he was in Extreme, but he was horrible in Van Halen. On their greatest hits, they don't even include any songs from VH III. I'd rather not hear them anyway. I picked VH III up used for 2.99, otherwise it wouldn't even be a part of my collection.
The White Stripes are one of my favorites as well.

They're way up there for me as well. I used to not like them as much, I think mainly cause I was comparing them to ATDI, and imho Relationship of Command is one of the greatest albums ever, but after listening to it more (and their last cd), I realized they were going a completely different way. It's awesome stuff.
