The only sad thing about MONK is that the premise has got to get old eventually - him being so compulsive and all. After the first show this summer (him going to NY to find his wife's killer), I was hoping that the whole season would build on him finding her murderer, but that story has kind of fallen off the cliff!

Oh well. It's such a change from the usual fare on TV, I still like it!

If all monks looked this cool, I'd be one.

Yeah, I agree. I'm disappointed in Kyle missing this opportunity!

Or maybe not!

F it.

F it all. I'm tired of this. I've decided to give up on being a filmmaker. I've thought long and hard and I just don't have what it takes.

I'm just gonna stick to writing screenplays, that seems to be the only thing I'm good at.

You're too young to F it . . . umm, well you know what I mean. If you think you're a good writer, then great, concentrate on that. I think I'm a good writer too, but I'm still going to film/shoot stuff.

After dabbling for a couple of years, I'm almost finished with a documentary that has, up to now, taken 14 months to make. When it's finished, I have another one in my head to begin.

I've found my little niche in filmmaking (or videomaking) and I enjoy it. If I eventually make any money at it, then that's just a bonus.

Bottom line, is there is always something to shoot. Even if you only do it as a hobby!

Don't be too hard on yourself. We can do that for you! Wink

Have a good weekend.

I'm not giving up entirely, I'm still gonna submit a few to Studentfilms.com sometime (hopefully before Fall) but I don't want to pursue it professionally (or even as a hobby). It causes me too much stress.

so I was at this Mexican restuarant about 15 minutes ago (really good steak fajitas) and I see these 4 people roll up, an attractive tall blonde and a shorter guy, along with what appeared to be a married older couple (probably one of the two's parents)

Now first thing I notice is this girl looks waaaay too much like a supermodel, then I notice the guy she's with, first person I think of is Keifer Sutherland. Looked just like him. Right down to his manerisms.

So yeah. great story, huh? I dunno, it might've been him, as soon as I got back I looked at pictures of him on the internet and he looked different. then again, in these pictures he looks all dolled up and pretty, whereas at this restuarant he looked kinda like an average guy (he needed to shave, his hair wasn't that well combed) but I could'nt stop looking at him, I think it was him.

I don't know why I'm obessing over it, I don't really like him as an actor (I think he's done like 2-3 movies I like)

but yeah Roll Eyes

you should've sent a pitcher of beer over to his table. He's a raging alcoholic.

...so, what are the 2-3 movies of his you like. Stand by me? Lost Boys? Young Guns? Freeway? Those are mine. Oh, and this obscure mob movie called "The last days of Frankie the Fly."

heh, thats funny, cause I read somewhere that he could never handle marijuana.

yet he can get drunk off his ass.

and I actually looked up his career on imdb.com and found out I don't like any movies with him (that I've seen)

One time I thought I saw Harrison Ford in a Payless Shoe Store. But then I thought, wait, why Payless?

Yeah, meeting Kiefer Sutherland would've been cool, but imagine meeting QUENTIN TARANTINO!

cause he does a lot of hard core drugs. We could drop some acid and cruise to some wild parties, do some E and watch kung-fu movies, get drunk off our asses, then wake up the next morning in each other's arms.

*sigh* Ahhhh...

I am going to have nightmares now, Kyle.

I do have one question - just an observation - if two "guys" are in bed, why is one wearing Playboy boxers?

He must be in denial.

A friend and I saw QT at the San diego comic-con last year. He was sitting on a bench when i nochalantly said "hey theres quentin tarantino" at which point 8000 nerds swarmed him and he ran off looking disoriented and confused. MAN WHAT A STORY. One to tell the grandkids for sure.
