What would I ask him? How long do I get? I want this opportunity. I have so many questions. Every set I have ever worked on, I am the king of picking brains and asking questions. I am going to pretend that I get my shot. Right now...with Quentin Tarantino. He's one of my favorites. And his boy, Robert Rodriguez happens to be sitting right there with him.

What's the first thing you ever did that made you think you wanted to make movies? Your defining moment?

Why do I start with that? I know the first time I decided I wanted to make movies. It is defined in a very specific moment. It was almost like an awakening. I didn't plan on being in the zone I was in at the time.

You guys have worked together forever. How did you meet?

I always wonder how these guys got to know each other. Tarantino was born in Tennessee and Rodriguez is a Texas boy but they have done a ton of stuff together. One of my favorites is “From Dusk Til Dawn”. Quentin is a psychopath and wrote it and Rodriguez directs it.

What's your favorite film of your own?

Everyone always likes something that they have done. My favorite to watch Quentin and Robert film is the “Grindhouse” double feature they released. I don't think it is the best one but it was a hell of a lot of fun.

How did you know how to write a movie or make a movie? Who taught you? Self-taught? Was it hard? Were you a natural?

I know my road I travelled and the one I am still traveling down. It ain't easy. I learn every day. There is not a book that can teach you either. Not everything at least. Rodriguez has a book he wrote I have yet to read that tells it all.

What else do you guys do? For fun outside of the movie-making stuff?

What's the best character you ever played, Quentin?

I love all the different weirdos he plays in his movies especially the one from “From Dusk Til Dawn”.

Where do you get the dialogue you come up with?

I LOVE Quentin's dialogue. It is some of the most brilliant stuff ever written. I did a scene from “Pulp Fiction” in my acting class a while back and it was the most fun I had ever had with written stuff. The scene that opens “Inglourious Basterds” is one of my all-time favorites as recent as it may be.

You guys seem like you do what you want, as if you don't care if anyone cares, is it true and how does it or doesn't it get in your way?

These guys are so rebellious to me. Maybe that's why I like them so much.

Can I talk to you guys in a year? When I get a little further and y'all get a little further? Just a quick catch-up? Refresh?

I have a plethora of ongoing questions and I wish I had these guys as mentors to ask from. To be continued...
