Weird, I never noticed that. I think the Scarecrow's way is an acceptable use, despite the grammatical technicality, simply because people use that pattern quite often. Its a case of whatever you call it when grammar rules are changed by common error.

This topic became very complex by the way, I'm here just to give my two cents.

Being different means to be free to be yourself. This is very important for artists. Independence, from others beliefs, ideas and so on is very important or you are not a real artist.

Other people follow other peoples roads. Artists follow their road only. And this is the right path, because the man who follows others road will only go where everyone has been, while if he follows his road and himself only, he will be able to explore new worlds (remember Star Trek initial intro?).
