there are some video cards that have dual monitors and video out either RCA or S-Video
There are actually a lot of them but they need to have three RAMDACs to be able to run all three outputs at the same time, something only a few expensive cards have.
From what I understand the video out option is not actually a good way to test your movie on a TV. Something about the processing that goes on. There was a thread about that a while ago.

yeah, it totally defeats the purpose of watching your footage on an NTSC monitor; converted from the computer's native progressive signal, no way to get pixel for pixel accuracy, weird gamma shifts and other color management work against you.
If you're using a NTSC monitor, it should be wired in however you plan to export the video (for most of us through firewire). Even those Matrox Real time editing cards that used to be sold were misleading because it's not being passed through firewire.
Using the yellow rca output on most video cards is not the answer (That output's the whole computer desktop on a TV...that's not accurate at all)
Also, I could be wrong... But I think the "Matrox Parhelia" and the "Ati Firegl" are the only cards that can actually output dual head(Dual Monitor) and an actual RCA output at the same time. I'm sure they're are other cards that can do this, but these are the ones that I know of.
Nice discussion this one. I've made a search to avoid post a new discussion and thought my question could fit in here. What TV/MONITOR would you recommend for me to buy?
I'm about to buy a MACBOOK PRO 15in, and wanted to buy a TV/MONITOR that I could use ALSO to watch my films at home and relax, more than simply editing. Problem is that it is not easy to find one bigger that 26'' (there is one from HD/Monitor Samsung). I really wanted one around 40'' :PThis message has been edited. Last edited by: Zumbi,
