Does anybody know what the name of the plug-in is called for either after effects or premiere, when you see a trail, or a better way to explain this... when you take a picture of cars driving past a camera at night and you leave the shutter open for a really long time it sorta leaves a trail where the lights passed by.
(Sorry this is hard to put in words). If anybody knows what this plug-in is called please tell me who sells it and where i can get it.(similar to "echo" but not)

It creates this effect:http://individual.utoronto.ca/neo_wang/chinatrip/043.html

In Premiere isn't it called "Ghosting"..?

I believe it's a built in effect. Simply search for "Ghost".

But I haven't used Premiere in a long time. Almost a year. I could be terribly, terribly wrong.

I'm sorry, you probably could have figured it out in the three days you waited for someone to give you the answer. I don't know of any 3rd party plugins for that. But, I can think of a few ways to do it using the stock plugins and features in AE. Why don't you start experimenting with the filters in the "Time" subcategory. Echo will probably be the easiest, but you can really do some cool effects with time difference and time displacement.
You can also see if you can achieve what you want with frame blending, although it won't be as controllable as the filters.
hope you find something that works for ya.

Maybe nobody knows. maybe it doesn't exist. Maybe your jumping to conclusions. Maybe I spend to much time on the computer. Maybe, just maybe, this world doesn't exist and we exist in a sub reality controlled by machines.

Yeah, just look for something called ghost/ghosting/trail/shutter, I really have no idea, but I'm trying to help.

Sorry if that last reply came off rude, but normally when I post something you guys are extremely quick to answer, sometimes even within a couple of hours. sorry. The reason i'm asking this is because... a long while ago I downloaded every plugin for after effects I could find, I found one that does just the effect I'm looking for, but my computer got screwed up recently and I lost everything. The plug-in I downloaded does the ghosting/echo effect, but it had more control over the echo.(How many instances the trail creates, how long the duration is etc.) I can't remember where I got this plug-in or the name of it.
