Hi everyone, first time poster here, long time lurker. I'm very excited to announce our first feature film SLIMED, a sci-fi adventure comedy, which has finally been completed and is available on DVD. We made a small professionally pressed run of the film, which was shot entirely on the Panasonic DVX100B and completed in 2009. The film was my co-director/writer Eric Manche's senior thesis at the Rhode Island School of Design. Myself, Jeff Nitzberg, attended Florida State University and our composer, Alex Kovacs, attended school at Berkly in Boston. Everyone else involved was either a friend, volunteer or pretty much found through craigslist.
I primarily did the films lighting, and color correction. Eric did most of prop design, and all of the films post-production special effects (in after effects). We both jointly edited the movie together (in FCP) as well as the other million jobs one takes on when making a movie on this level.
I've started a thread here about where we got our dvds made:
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, Slimed just got into its first film festival and it's called The Boston Underground film festival. If anyone is curious to see SLIMED on the big screen our official showtime is FRIDAY MARCH 26th 3:00pm. There will be a short film playing before ours called "STONEY."
For more info you can check out: http://bostonunderground.org/about/ Eric and I will both be attending as well as our two lead actors. If you're in the Boston area feel free to come on down, we'd love to see you guys there!
