Welcome to Studentfilms.com, the online film discussion forum for filmmakers and students who are applying to film school, attending film school, need advice on making films, or just want to share their films with the world.
Hello! I'm currently an upper classmen in high school, and I am new to this site. I have previously wandered the boards, reading about users who are applying to graduate school, and their experiences.
I was wondering if anyone has thoughts for what I could be doing now to prepare? I am passionate about the film industry, and currently make short films in my spare time. I have entered some small film festivals and been finalists in a few, and won 1st place Documentary.
To prepare for college and a future career, I have been reading books and online sources about the industry, but any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Make a name for yourself by frequently uploading quality shorts online. Also consider investing in a website. It can cost less than $10 a month. In fact you can just set up a free blog at the many free blog websites.
