Hi there,

My name is Roy Arwas and I am 17 years old.

I looked all over the internet and found this website very helpful and decided to create an account and ask the question that is most important for me. As English is my second language, and my SAT wasnt that good in the english part, and with a GPA of 3.2, (I attend an international private school in England). I was wondering, could I still get into a good college? It stresses me out, and I would do anything in order to succeed in the film industry and enter the best colleges!

I went to NYFA (New york film academy) in los angeles and I learnt so much, and did so much, so I know I will be doing nothing but films in my life. My movies are posted on youtube, and I hope you like them so please comment this, and let me know how they are, whether they are good, bad, what can I change?

Also, I was hoping you guys would suggest me good film schools in Los angeles, schools that I will be able to apply to and succeed after....

Hey Roy!

Are you thinking of applying to some film schools in the US? I'm actually from Australia and I'm currently in my last year of high school and I'm hoping to go to LA next year and attend a film school there. I actually went to NYFA in LA two years back in 2008. It was such an amazing experience, you learn so much and make soooooo many good friends who I still talk to nearly every day. I decided to go to NFYA as I wasn't sure if I wanted to make a career out of filmmaking but after NYFA, I decided that I would! Anyway, I originally wanted to go to UCLA or even any of the other top film schools in the US but with my grades, I highly doubt I would get in. I took the SAT earlier this year too, but didn't do as great as I thought I would've. I guess it didn't help either as the education in Australia is quite different to the US. So I've now decided that I want to go Columbia College Hollywood which is a small film school.

I probably wasn't much help at all but just thought it was cool you went to NYFA haha. I checked out your videos and also subscribed! If you're interested, this was my first film at NYFA (It's silent)

That is quite a catch! NYFA lol, it is one of the best experiences I have ever had. And I do not know where I am gonna go, I am gona try to go to LMU, UCLA, USC, Brooks, Chapman, and AFI... I know very hard schools, but still.... I will do anything to get in any of them schools! I also wan a do a major in another topic of the film industry but it is still undecided.

I WATCHED YOUR MOVIE! And as I was watching it, I saw an actor that was really familiar to me, I said to my self "no way, trey?" Just so you know, this summer I met the best people, Id say they are my best friends, and one of them is Trey...... Small world isn't it? Ill say hi to him for you...
