Advice about NYC Film Schools

Hello there, I am a non-US applicant and have been applying to a number of US film schools in the past year or two but so far with no success. I have been focusing on the more "prestigious" ones like Columbia, NYU and UCLA, but given the lack of progress, I am looking for alternatives. Are there any other film schools in NYC that offer solid programs but are perhaps easier to get in? I know New York Film Academy is supposed to be not very good, whereas Chapman University has a good reputation, but it is in CA. Any suggestions / advice would be most appreciated. Thanks!!!

Check out Brooklyn College, SVA (School of the Visual Arts), Hunter College. Not sure if they have MFA programs or not.
