For the past few days my parents have been receiving large packets in the mail. As I go to the mail box I am filled with excitement only to be let down.
Did your acceptance come in a large envelope with an admissions packet or just a normal envelope?
I just want to call them up, the waiting game is killer

Hey congrats @ kwokts! Nice to see an accepted fellow from NY who also interviewed at NYU! We should hear from them in the next weeks. Rainy weather, impatient waiting!!

@assal, finger crossed!! Out of all that you've applied, which one do you think you will go? Personally CalARTs is really my second wanted after Tisch, but planing to go there is going to cause a big fight between me and my parents...

Just got my acceptance to the Film Directing program yesterday - still can't believe it. The envelope was just as you all described it, so once I saw it I knew. But even if I hadn't, I later saw that the envelope says "congratulations" on the back.
To everyone who's still waiting - hold on, you'll know soon enough. To everyone who didn't get in, keep on truckin and keep making great films! To everyone else, hopefully I'll see you in the fall!

Where is everyone located, i am on the east coast...CT to be exact. Perhaps I haven't received anything because I am so far from Cali or because I am rejected?
My optimism is slowly shrinking

Got into CalArts a couple weeks ago and am thrilled about it. Unfortunately my schedule didn't allow me to go to the admitted students weekend, and I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to make it out there before decisions are due. Right now, I'm leaning towards accepting my position, as I got a nice scholarship and haven't heard back from the other two schools I sent in applications to. Did you make it to the admitted students weekend? If so, I'd love to ask you some questions.
