I applied (and am also a fellow potential Austin reject; please love me, Austin as I love your program!). I know less about Temple than I do about Austin, but the graduates I've met were talented, smart, decent people.
As for your user name, the answer is neither, because the answer is Rodenstock. Best Lenses I've ever used.
Ah. Everyone I know from Temple has been awesome. I've had some alumni as teachers and they were fantastic.
As for my name...I am a photographer and had this huge internal debate when I decided to switch from Canon to Nikon this year. Got a Nikon D7000! The video on those suckers is awesome! This message has been edited. Last edited by: NikonvsCanon,

Don't lose faith! Worst case scenario you apply again next year. This is my second year applying and if I have to apply two more years to get in somewhere I'll do it.
Never used the d7000 but I hear it's better than the d90, which would mean amazing.
Don't know, sorry. After the torture of waiting breathlessly last year and getting rejected everywhere I applied, I'm willfully ignoring decision dates this year.
If it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be. Maybe next year.
I got a letter via snail mail, not email, and my last name is toward the end of the alphabet. But a lot of schools send rejections before acceptances, so I would not take silence as a bad sign.
Haven't checked my mail yet today. But I think it will be a rejection. One last q m dawg how far are you in distance from temple? This message has been edited. Last edited by: NikonvsCanon,

Amypj, check your TUportal account. When you click on your apply for admissions tab and then select fall 2011 you will be able to see your admissions decision if you don't want to wait for a letter or email.
Congrats Rushmoreman!

NikonvsCanon, thanks for the info, but I thought TUportal is for their undergrad programs. I've looked through my emails from Temple but didn't find one mentioning my TUportal account... maybe I don't have one? did you get yours when you applied?

I never got one. Just called the graduate school and they said "this is funny." They transferred me to the department but I reached their voicemail. Will call the department later to ask. Thanks!

I just talked to Nicole McKenna and was told they've only accepted 5 students so far and the committee is still looking at applications. She told me that my application were just sent to the committee this week so I still need to wait for 2-3 weeks to hear back from them. She also told me that they have 70 applicants this year and they accepted 20 last year. She doesn't know how many students they will accept this year though. Hope this is helpful information for those who also applied to Temple.
