My impression is that grad students generally don't live in dorms.

but anyway...

try rent.com. you can find rooms, apartments, houses, and roomates on there. it's been very useful to me, and the best of the renting websites. especially since ebay acquired them.

I've just started looking today, on forrent.com and apartmenthunter.com - seems to be plenty but not sure what the areas are like. Studios all seem very similar. Close to Chapman (within a mile) they're between $850-1300 monthly. But I'm not sure whether, as a South African, I can organise an apartment from here. I may request help from the university on that one. Grads can't live in dorms at Chapman, from what I gather.
