Camera Advice for a low budget new filmmaker

Hey guys, I'm looking to shoot my first documentary and I'm having trouble finding a professional camera that's easy enough to learn/use for a beginner and costs under $1500.

I have very little camera background. What websites should I use to shop? Do you suggest buying off ebay or buying a used camera?
I'm looking for one that looks professional also, not an hdslr (not that there's anything wrong with them)
I've been checking this guy out: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/...AVCHD_Camcorder.html
Is that a good price/camera?
Please give me some advice and recommendations... thanks!

Last year I purchased the Sony a6100 at Best Buy and I love it! Did I mention, it under a grand? Shoots 4k and is easy to navigate and just an all around blast to film with. Shop around for the best deals though! Oh yeah, here's a link to one of my projects I shot with it. Hope this helps!
