Greetings!
Though the risk of coronavirus is still everywhere but things are getting normal, and we are again starting our projects. Yes, we are working on 2-3 short films projects, and unluckily, we were not able to pay the rent of production equipment; that's why we gave them back to the renters. Right now, we found one investor who can even pay for new equipment.
However, we are confused either we buy film product equipment or rent them. According to my friend who is working in the rental industry buying is a better option because in that case, we can also earn money by using these equipments for rental purpose when we are not using them. In the same token, we can even start it as a side business, and I also found production equipment rental tips here for owners.
Withal, a few of my team members are not happy with this idea. In their opinion, we need to focus on our film making work only and should get involved in other activities. Do you think the same? Or a side business would help us in off-seasons? Or when we don't have any project in hand? Your thoughts?
