For the third time since its successful debut in 2009, Intervideo Filmproduktion GmbH is announcing its Intervideo Talent Award.
Under the heading of “Tomorrow, we will see – Changes,” We find ourselves asking what things will be like in fifty years or in a hundred. What will it be like – utopia in matters large and small? How do we deal with change? What motivates us? What influences the decision to implement a change, to help carry it out, or to go with the flow?
We are interested in films which address the topic of changes dispassionately, critically and/or artistically. The focus of the competition is films which deal with small or large changes – in the private sphere or in the public domain, involving individuals or companies, in the environment, countries or organizations..
Giving new young media talent a boost worked so well in its first run that Intervideo itself received a prize for the idea: the “German Culture Promotion Prize” (Deutscher Kulturförderpreis).
This year, the Intervideo Talent Award will be awarded in four film categories:
1. “Documentaries”
2. “Fiction/Shortfilms”
3. “Animations”
4. “Freestyle”
This year too, after the entry period closes, an independent jury will select the winning entries.
Students or trainees and those just starting on a media career who wish to address the competition theme in film are eligible to take part. Participants may not be older than 30 when submitting their entry.
Cash awards amounting to a total of €2,000 are on offer to the winners, as well as various non-cash prizes. The prizes will be awarded during the 50th anniversary of the Intervideo Filmproduktion in Mainz, Germany in September 2014.
Deadline for submission of entries is June 15, 2014.
Further information and all documentation concerning the competition is available at: http://www.intervideo-nachwuchspreis.de
We look forward to receiving your entries and films!
