Barbers in the land down under.
: Unique subject matter. Interesting conversation.
: The audio could be a bit cleaner.
It's always refreshing to watch a documentary on a unique subject that gets very little attention in the world if any at all. The barber industry is certainly not something I have ever heard anyone speak of, so I quite enjoyed the conversation. Jodie and AJ do a good job explaining what the business is all about. They make it so interesting I almost want to jump on a plane to Australia for a cut.
Technically the short is well-filmed and edited. The transitions work, and the on-screen text is not at all overdone as I've seen in other docs. My only critique would be in the audio dept. The echo in the room was a bit distracting for me at times, and the audio level for the interviewer could have been slightly higher. But these are just a couple of nit-picking observations.
The film is well done. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something new., rarely heard of.
