The stark contrast in colour grading between the scenes with the girl and those with the uncle immediately conveyed a powerful shift. Evoking a sense of warmth and safety versus fear and unease. This visual storytelling was deeply effective in highlighting the boy's emotional states around different people. The soundtrack amplified these feelings, especially in the haunting scene where the boy looks at his uncle’s house from behind. The dark tones and daunting atmosphere in that moment were both visually and emotionally unsettling, perfectly underscoring the film’s themes of abuse. Great use of colour and sound!!!!
