Thriller "We Were Friends" Short Film

"We Were Friends" is meant to be one small scene from a bigger story and is simply meant to be a metaphor for when you're closest friends turn on you.Directed by Matt RamsayGenre: Crime-ThrillerStarring Connor Gracey, Eric Aretusi, Giordano Sousa
Pros: Color grading , Picture Quality
Cons: Poor Dialogue , Script wasn't polished , music felt annoying , ending
The color grading was very good and so was the picture quality. The concept was good but it wasn't polished at all.

The dialogues were unrealistic and boring , hence the poor acting . I wont blame the actors because they can only do what the script allows them. The story is the blueprint , if the blueprint isn't good the building will never be. You should have spent more time polishing the script to make it more believable , dramatic and realistic.
The musical score was not complementing the visuals . It didn't fit at all . no music is better than bad music.

Lastly the ending was flat. At the start these two were going to kill the captive. In the end they killed him. Nothing happened. You starting and ending were the same. maybe you should have started with a scene that shows their friendship. Then at start they were friends , in the end they killed their friend. Now something happened .

anyways good luck on your future project. and spend more time on the story.
Pros: The quality of the camera, and potential for the story line
Cons: The story was being told through sound but not through sight
I'm only writing because there is potential in your work as I've worked on a lot of big budget projects and most of the actors, script and other aspects were lackluster but the camerawork is what really told the story. My recommendation is that you utilize storyboards to get the most out of every shot. For example, to get the most from dialogue try using over the shoulder unless you get a steady two shot.

All the best.
