For a submission/portfolio piece, this isn't half bad! The intro's use of stop motion is really interesting and helps capture the audiences' attention. As for the plot, it was a bit too extreme for my taste - perhaps a longer film would have been able to explore her repetitive lifestyle more and allowed for more build up.

Editing was good, things were generally smooth with no hard cuts. However, cinematography wise, it seemed as if your shutter speed was a bit off or something was wrong with your FPS? Either way, not significant, just me being picky!

It's an interesting plot film nonetheless :) keep it up!
Pros: Epic intro
Cons: clean up the editing
Okay, that intro was badass. I love stop motion. I'm not sure what it was supposed to symbolize though.... I thought that the pacing throughout was good and created a very dramatic tone. The scene where they are sitting in the grass could use a little better timing though. I needed their relationship to build a little bit more- or at least the feelings between the to. It just felt like it escalated too quickly. I didn't get enough of a sense of her world. I also didn't understand why he cared about her so much. It felt like they didn't know each other very well, yet he was with her when she died. Overall though, really great and intriguing. If you're going to USC in the fall, I'll see you there!

This student short film "Still" is really powerful, especially as a USC portfolio piece. The story of a young photographer drowning in her monotonous routine and work genuinely resonated with me — I once shot my own first short about a person losing themselves in repetitive days. After filming, I struggled for a long time with editing: adjusting pacing, cleaning transitions, adding stop-motion elements to the intro, and doing color correction to convey loneliness. That's when I discovered the convenient tool https://www.movavi.com/tools/mp4-editor/ and now I use it all the time. The program is intuitive, handles MP4 files quickly, and offers powerful tools for trimming, effects, and exporting. Thanks to it, my next videos turned out much more professional, and the editing process stopped being exhausting and became a real pleasure.
