Why "House of 1000 Corpses" shoulnd't have been made...

...It's the same reason you wouldn't give an inexperienced 15 year old millions to make a movie. I can't believe how amateurish this film was. INRCREDIBLY loose directing, production design that screamed bargain bin, B cinematography, NO PLOT...NONE...and...CRAP GORE. OK, first, lemme say that I LOVE gore when it's used properly and to good effect. But what's with this film? It's as tame as any recent efforts I've seen. They've built this up to be so shocking and horrific...yet any one of Paul Verhoeven's films mop the floor with "House" in the blood n' guts department. Now, I understand that this is supposed to be a throwback to 70's slasher flicks...but gripes man! Make a GOOD B movie!!! The movie reportedly cost 8 million dollars...I have no idea where that money went. This thing looks like it cost under a mill. That's a horrible thing to have to say. Most films should attempt to exceed their budget in the production value department...but here, it's the exact opposite. Trash filmmaking. Bottom line. Ripped off psuedo-style, bad directing, horrid acting...hell, EVERYTHING about this movie was crap. The best is Zombie's attempt to write Tarrantino-esque dialogue...just listen for the over indulgent rambles by each and every character at some point. Yuck. Thank god I didn't pay to see this...*grin*.

I $hit you folks not...Harry Potter 2 was scarier. And that's not a quirky joke. I'm serious...that movie had me going more than this one. Shame. The potter flicks (and no...I'm not some 20 year old children's book addict...I just like the movies)...are actually the pinnacle of adventure films nowadays. Those flicks are doing SOMETHING MAJORLY RIGHT.
 
I fell asleep watching the first Harry Potter movie in the theater. And thanks for the warning, I am not going to see that horrible movie!

It was an homage to every sad 70's horror cliche in the book, and if you understand that from the beginning, then you should be able to enjoy it thoroughly. The car full of the 4 dumbest kids in the world, the extremely hot actress who can't act, the painfully long dramatic pause, the nonsensical "twist" ending... everything you remember about old horror movies is there.

What's different about House and what makes this movie seem so authentic and loving of the genre (rather than a mockery of it) is the meticulous detail that Rob Zombie goes through to create what will be perhaps the final 70's B horror movie. Everything there was so exact to the genre and to what we all remember.... Right up to the "...The End?" title before the credits. Oh man, it's so great....

I have gone to great lengths to tell you that I don't care what you think. but your pathetic obsession with me remains. why can't you just accept the fact that I feel no need to proove my self to someone who has shown me nothing but disrespect? I don't care to argue, or have any further communications with you. we are obvously two completely different people. I accepted this a long time ago. and i think you should too.

how much do you really know about me? I mean the real me? what is my real name? where did I grow up? who are my parents? I think I can safely say that you do not know the answers to those questions. so what makes you think you know who I am? how would you know how much work I have done in the arts? or how many projects I am currently working on? all you know of me is a shallow extrapolation from abstract words on a computer screen.......you don't know me, all you know is your owne assumptions......

if I don't show my movies to a$$holes like you does it really mean they don't exist? or does it mean that a$$holes arent worth my time?


P.S. why am I any different from all the other people in on here that hated rob zombies big budget student film? why should I be singled out of a crowd of people saying the same thing as I?
 
Well, the proof is in the pudding as it were. If you don't bother to try and prove yourself outside of landish and frankly abusive language, then we'll just continue to treat you as yet another loud mouth punk who is just trolling for flames.

I may not be the best filmmaker on this site, but at least i've tried and am prepared to take the criticsm.

I noticed that there is a rule for members of this "resource" being not older than college... I thing the rule was either a High School student and College student. I didnt see anywhere "Jr. High school student" of "Elementary School student", or even "Preschool Student". Isnt there a rule against little kids being apart of this community, because what looks to me as you and many others who post here are way below Jr. High School level.

If you cant learn to grow up, then maybe you should leave. Beacuse your not going anywhere else... And certainly not anywhere in the film industry with that attitude. grow up, child.
