It's just plain funny. A high energy mockumentary plus the blue screen for the hall is some funny sh*T. Oh yeah did I mention that San Jose is the Sh*t (even though SJSU can't hold a candle to Cogswell, but really who can?)

Yeah, I think I remember laughing watching that one. It does a good job knocking the cliches that we all employ.

I should see it again.

That is one of my personal favourites... are you sure you watched the whole thing, or did you only watch the "short film" that is within this whole short film... if that made sense

I liked the remake of this one though

yeah i love the redux version. it is a better way of them making a sequel or mockumating another film. it was like a mockumentaryu of their mockumentary. its not the kind of comedy that is based on fat ppl or celebs. you can relate to the atmosphere of that first student film we have all made. yes we all had 5 revisions of our first (and crappiest) script. we've all had a ppl laugh in our faces and that ****. it wasnt meant to be about the artistic feel while at the same time there was a sense of intentionalism. i guess id need some reasons why u dislike it so much. then maybe from another view i could understand better.

It was just unoriginal and cheesy, I see that this is was is most honored on this site though. There was nothing spectacular about the editing, acting, screenplay, lighting, cinematography, direction... it's was a so-so film and everyone "Yays!" about it. I'm just wondering what it was that got so many great reviews. I figured there was some trick this group was doing that I need to learn but I can see now it was just the saracastic humor that everyone liked.

It's funny, see? They made this really really short film, but then pretended that it took a lot of work to do so. And also, it's original.

I think you're just one of those people that doesn't like to be entertained. Look, technically it wasn't that great, but that's forgivable because these kids were just having fun. It's an entertaining 8 minutes. What more do you want?

Alan... this was just as good as your latest "Larri"... I love to be entertained, that didn't entertain me.

This is not original... mocking the filmmaking process has been done. It's one of those ideas that most students rumble through in their heads for assignments in documentary class... wtf people thow me a friggin' bone here.

id say its definetely worth the 4.5 it got.

the reason why it recieved high ratings is because when most people watched it (myself included) they were entertained by a funny, original (at least for this site), well done short. so after we watched it, we rated it high.

you may think it deserves a lower rating, and thats fine, but obviously you have different tastes.

but don't think this movie's reviews have been inflated, as you can see by the many posts defending it, its just a popular and well-liked movie.

I personally liked it because it kind of poked fun at what we all go through, how we go through so much work for so little. Most other films that make fun of the filmmaking proccess don't highlight how much work goes into it for barely anything. I don't think that this would be funny to non-filmmakers, but since we all are, we rate it high.

Entertaining. Not anything special. But I was able to sit through it and laugh a few times.

just give it a one star rating if ya do not like it. No need to get angry about the rating

LMAO, I'm not angry about the ratings. I just wanted to know what I was missing in the flick, you know, so I can add those qualities to my movies. I don't care what anyone on this site rates other peoples movies. For that matter, I really don't care what anyone thinks about anything, unless it somehow reflects their thoughts on my work.
