Forget the classics. What are your five go-to movies...the movies you can watch again and again and not get sick of? Mine are (in no order):

Boondock Saints
Trading Places
The Professional
The Game
Hoodwinked
 
I can always watch Gladiator. Aladdin is great, too. I've never seen Who's That Knocking and can't find it on IMDB. Can you tell me about it?

Yes, Trainspotting, of course. I couldn't find The Proposition anywhere to rent, so I bought it and will watch it tonight. It looks great!

Tippecanoe County Public Library has two copies of this I believe...thats where I got it from. Whoever picks out their media does a great job of including all sorts of lesser-known gems.

Once Upon a Time in the West? It's also very very good (better than The Good The Bad and The Ugly IHMO).

Brain, I have too many late fees at the library to want to go back right now, lol. Plus I'm already sure I want to own it.
 
I feel slightly guilty for enjoying the original BBC Chronicles of Narnia .

I feel moderately guilty for really liking Moulin Rouge .

And I know I should feel excessively guilty for liking Bratz but I don't

Well, I actually own the BBC Chronicles of Narnia in both VHS and DVD. No joke. And I have seen Moulin Rouge repeatedly (love it). Sorry, but I don't know when I'll ever get around to seeing Bratz.

By "guilty", I meant of "wasting time" seeing the same film over and over when there are so many untapped treasures out there, but obviously the pleasure of doing so often outweighs the alternative...

But under either definition, I will always make time for Sin City and for Fifth Element, even though the latter makes me feel super guilty.
 
Aha! This weekend, in my northern Canadian town, it's been a Harold and Kumar fest! We laughed and laughed, complete with accouterments (my husband is a vet on the medical marijuana program), but now, oh, how the guilt is setting in...

I'm surprised you didn't include Chronicles of Riddick, which I could watch again with less guilt than Pitch Black, ha ha.

I'm glad no one's said Van Helsing.
 
wow. i could not bare Chronicles of Riddick. it was the hokiest POS id ever seen, especially how his eyes were always glowing. talk about self absorbed big man acting. wow.

i watch "dont look back" endlessly. supplies so much entertainment and its different everytime i see it.
 
Actually, Riddick's character is really interesting, except in Chronicles of Riddick they destroyed it ”” like with the eyes: in Pitch Black there's an explanation and it fits the character. In COR, it's just there to look cool, and at time the filmmakers totally disregard it (having him just staring in the light, which would blind him...).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I've gone on a REALLY long and detailed diatribe on this exact topic before...
