I am 23 years old and I completed my undergrad degree in Marketing a few years ago. I have always enjoyed making movies and now I am kicking myself for not pursuing it as a living. I want to quit my 9-5 and go back to school but I have no idea where to start (i.e. do I pursue an undergrad degree in film or a graduate degree?) Believe me when I say I am definitly not a beginner- I have made a handful of films, I own a GL2, and I am well versed with every mainstream editing suite. Any recommendations on what path I need to follow to become a director? Any advice is much appreciated.

Graduate film school! At 23 years old you're right on track plus it sounds like you could whip together a portfolio. But i would rcommend if you have no ties, to move to New York or Cali.

Or write a feature, raise some cash, produce and tap the hell out of the few resources you have and make a movie. Shorts are cute but you're just f*cking around until you make a feature.

If you know what you really want to do; anything you're currently involved in that dosn't serve that goal is a waste of f*cking time.
