I'm 20, completed a two year hnd practical film and television production course training as camera operator, sound recordist, directing televison, editing, lighting and producing. I want to continue to degree level to meet with contacts but I think education is slightly overrated. I live in Edinburgh, Scotland though. I wouldn't be saying this if in the states as they have some fantastic looking courses and a much larger industry. Maybe one day if practical, I'll be in America working, I'd like that. In the meantime, I'm searching for work while doing some freelance work. It's extremely tough here to find any work but I think training on the job and learning on my own combined will work best to my advantage.

Films are a medium to convey messages morals,ethics,culture and education.But now the theme is changed entertainment is the motto of film producing companies.Sex in cinema affects the young brains and morals.People should be aware of it and try to use these medium for the betterment of our social life.

WRONG. Film is art and you can do whatever the **** you want to with it.

Film can be about anything you want.
Film can be used for propoganda, it can be used to "teach" moral or ethics or whatever you want.
It can be entertainment pure and simple
It can be sexual and visceral.
It can be anything whether it is art or entertainment or a teaching tool.

p.s. A_simon, there's a reason film is usually considered the "Entertainment" industry. It's not a teaching industry.
