Get ready for the 2003 NYC Midnight Movie Making Madness Filmmaking Competition. There is only a week left until the early entry deadline!
The hippest filmmaking competition in all the land is back in full force with over $34,000 in cash prizes. The competition challenges filmmakers around the world to create two short movies from scratch under extreme time constraints. The 1st round movie must be completed in two weeks from wherever in the world you live. Finalists chosen from the 1st Round receive $1,000 cash and a chance to compete for the grand prize of $10,000 in NYC by writing, shooting and editing a short movie from scratch in 24 hours.
All the teams that make it to the final round in NYC will not only have to chance to profit if their movie is selected for distribution on the 2003 DVD, but will be covered by national media outlets while trying to accomplish the ultimate goal of the competitionâ?¦trying to make the best short movie from scratch in 24 hours, midnight to midnight!

Information Sessions coming to NYC (July 26), Chicago (August 9), and Los Angeles (TBA). We will screen the top five 24 hour movies from 2002, which will be followed by a Q & A session for the 2003 competition. The screenings are free!
